Flourish 55+ Healthy Activity Cooperative
The Flourish Centre is now officially called Flourish 55+ Healthy Activity Society. It’s a volunteer-driven organization.
Volunteers help grow our exciting new Cooperative into a valuable community resource. We are developing our membership for sustainability in the community.
Norman Greenberg, Ph.D. Psych. and Carol-Ann Brown founded Flourish in 2015 as the Flourish: Family Well-Being Society. Flourish promotes healthy ageing on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
Since moving into its new home in April 2021 at 678 LaHave St. with support from the Bridgewater Farmers Cooperative, the Flourish Centre has grown to an organization with 115 active volunteers.
Bridgewater is a hub on Nova Scotia’s South Shore that people in the surrounding area, including New Germany and other towns, find accessible. We are grateful to the Bridgewater Farmers Cooperative for giving us a terrific space to engage and support our seniors.
